NEW HOME DEVELOPMENT

This was an in-house project which involved demolishing an existing, run-down structure and replacing it with six high-quality new homes. The nature of this being an in-house project, we were not held to any specific time constraints and were able to take the time to focus on the finish and the build quality of each property.
The original site was home to a public house which had been left to ruin, we purchased the site in 2008 and went through a lengthy phase of surveying the local population to identify how the community would like to see the site used.
We sent out questionnaires to the surrounding community with three options:
Completely refurbish and renew the pub, surrounding land, carpark and garden.
Provide a new amenity to the area such as hotel or express supermarket.
Develop into high quality homes in keeping with the road and local area.
The questionnaires arrived back and were almost unanimous in calling for the site to be used for new housing.
We were able to gain planning permission swiftly and the dilapidated structure was removed in preparation for the replacement dwellings.
Property developers across the country generally focus on completing properties quickly and in an inexpensive manner; this often means that they compromise on the quality of the build, in favour of financial return.

The way our business is structured gives us the flexibility and agility to go the extra mile when it comes to attention to detail, and finish. Once finished, these properties were not on the market for long, being snapped up by couples and families with hours of their publication.
